I stand beside you in the desert night
feeling the heat rain down
and all around me echoes
the hush of the desert's sound.
The warm wind caresses me
as gently as your touch;
beneath a painted sky I'm reminded
of why I love you and how much.
Shifting desert sands
the sound of night birds calling;
the sound of two hearts beating,
the rush of two hearts falling
again in the desert night.
