As I look up......my heart suddenly stops......it is Bramwell...... As I sit by the heat of the fire remembering that day......a smile creeps upon my face, a fluttering in my heart...... he opened the door and offered his hand......I placed my own in his......I knew that at that point my life would forever be changed......he gently picked me up and carried me across the fresh snow......his driver opened the door to his Brougham......and with great care......placed me in the carriage......he asked to where I was going......I was shy and did not look directly to him at first......I told him that I was going into town......I had lied but not caring......This was to be where I wanted to be......I looked up and saw for the first time wonderfully dark brown eyes......eyes that could easily have taken my soul......I could not turn away......he smiled and with that my breath was gone......his hand touched my cheek......my body trembled at his touch..my heart fluttered...
