The fragrance of wild grass
lightly covered with dew
Bring back memories of
the dreams we once knew

How many brave pioneers
did tred over these plains?
Searching for something better..
Now their ghostly whispers remain

Look close at the serenity
You feel it, I know
remember these prairies
Keep them safe, keep them whole
