Lestat, was growing impatient now, finally raised the lid of her coffin and watched her, looking at her black hair falling gently over her delicate shoulders.
Her ebony hair contrasted with her ivory skin and the soft redness of her lips.
The feelings began to stir inside. Feelings that he had felt were long sense gone and forgotten. Those same feelings now guided his fingers to touch her hair, lace his finger tips through the hair.............when her eyes slowly opened.
A look of confusion and then fear came from her. The memories of the night came flooding back to her.
Sickenly, Anne knew what had happened and what she now was.
Anger and fright at first, drew her to rise when he offered his hand out to her. She had difficulty moving because of the baby.
But as soon as she stood, she used all of her supernatural strength, knowing only the element of surprise would work, she hit him in his stomach, doubling over in shock.
Lestat snarled, as he grabbed her arm, and tried to pull her to him.
Crying and then screaming at him to leave her alone. Lestat conceeded for now and released her arm. Quickly she jerked away from him. Anne gave the vampire a steely eyed look and walked to the other side of the room.
She, was nursing her now swelling wrist. She surveyed the rotting wood that comprised of what was left of a wall. Through the large sized holes, barly visible, on the other side you could see the rest of the delapidated mansion.
Anne hated Lestat and did not want him touching her for any reason. It was Barnabas that she needed, that she wanted to hold, just as much as he did her she thought.
As the blood tears began to form, knowing how futile it was she would ever see him again, she roughly brushed them off her cold cheek.
Trapped with this monster for eternity would be her punishment for loving another more than even death.
Her voice quiet, but the voice deadly, "let me return to my husband."
Lestat had remained in the same spot, his eyes never left her. He finally turned away from her, "you are with your husband".
Looking over his shoulder at her. "You will remain with me for all time."
She ran to the door, grabbing the handle, but Lestat was swift and pushed the door, closing it again and barring her from leaving.
His lips came close to her own. His gaze bewitched and confused her.
Smiling, he leaned into her, kissing her ear lobe with his lips and teasing her, then sliding his tongue along the outside, leaving her breathless until his whisper, "you will never see your Barnabas again".
She felt dizzy and began to faint. Lestat released her from his spell, grabbed her still awake body and sat her upon a ancient silk brocaded seat.
His haughtiness returned to him quickly. "You need to have feast and I must go,"
Lestat grabbed her chin and forced her eyes to meet his,"but let me warn you, if you see him again, his life will be forfeited," he hissed.
Straightening himself again, "I will not harm you or the child you are carrying. I am not allowed to harm it. And you will remain with me. There are OTHER plans for that baby."
Anne's eyes grew wide as the horrors that her baby may have to go through!
"NO! I will not give you my baby! The hell with you Lestat! And I'm not yours!"
Lestat's cruelty showed itself again, as he walked towards the door, half-turning, "you have no choice, Ann." As he went out the door, his laughter followed, sounding sick and twisted.
He was gone, leaving her alone. Desperately, she hurried and left the building and started to walk towards a familiar Old House.........
