Subj: Walk Through Damnation Conclusion

All that lay in front of them was the red, parched desert. Black trails of where the fireballs had been. A pack of large-headed dogs, more damaged than the others she had seen, pathetically came creeping behind them, but carefully keeping low as to not to be seen, drooling with hunger. They passed three board shacks, propped up upon stilts over the desert. A small, leathery bird, without feathers, with a bearded monkey face. The fingers were like delineated fingers sticking out from the ends of its wings, swoope down past them. Passing by yet another black pond were two unrecognizable animals. They had what appeared, long teeth, but human eyes. The front legs were like pigs and hind legs of large cats. As she and Barnabas passed by these monstrosities, the animals began to snarl at them. But they feared the vampire, they backed away.
Later, they saw something move ahead of them, it went behind the trunk of one of the screaming trees. Something larger than a dog. Upon closer observation, what they saw was a face that was nearly all teeth--instinctively evil. Bearing fangs dripping with what was thought to be venom. Except for the head which was very serpentine, the rest of the body was a man. Barnabas raised his mighty hand and as he did, the creature cowered away as though injured. Barnabas looked upon her ashen face, and said that they were almost there, the end of this torturous journey was to be soon over.
Ahead she saw what appeared to be a massive dilapidated hotel. Once grand, but now only a shell of greatness. He turned to her. "Once", he said, "We go through there", pointing towards blackened double doors, "we will return to Collinsport again." Releaved, she was eager to leave there, she began to walk towards the doors with urgency to quickly depart this world. But he grabbed her arm and turned her towards him. He peered deep into her eyes, "I needed to show you this world of damnation for not only all the reasons I said, but because of true concerns for you". "Why? I am nothing to you, nothing but your newest vampire." But as he started to tell her, she tried to jerk free, to once again to try and leave this Hell.
Again, but with more force than before, he turned her towards him. But I do know your mother. That is why I chose you that night. You were alone in that world, a world that knew only of cruelty, and that, my dear, I will not have. Not towards my daughter." Withher looking at him with shock, he led her through the great doors of the Black Hotel.
